On April 7-9, a three-day exhibition and forum InnoTech Ukraine 2017 took place at VDNH in Kyiv.
During three days, visitors were getting acquainted with the advanced technologies and the best developments in the fields of robotics, 3D print, medicine, education and smart gadgets.
Smile-Expo, the organizer of InnoTech Ukraine 2017 is a leader in holding exhibitions, forums and conferences. We’ve carried out a significant event, presenting the latest trends in the world of technologies.
The forum included a lot of activities drawing visitors’ attention: exhibition, conference, workshops for kids, startup battle, hoverboards, Sci-Fi movie and a host other things.
The demo zone included two VR locations: at one of them, attendees were able to move in virtual reality using VR headset, while the other one in addition to VR headset was equipped with a moving, shaking and vibrating platform. People were amazed! These VR platforms were provided by such companies as Gagarin, WEAR and Sensorama.
Another popular activity of the exhibition was 3D printing. FabLab Fabricator, MonoFilament, Plexiwire and 3D-PrinterLab were exhibitors of the sector. They demonstrated how to print various items using a printer.
TechKid and RoboHouse represented the robotics field. Unique educational projects were presented by Robot School and Roborise-IT.
The most popular robots of the exhibition were Max and Mario: they entertained visitors by dancing, singing and event telling jokes.
The exhibition zone also included a zone for drones manufactured by DIY Lab and Fly Technology. As part of the second day of the exhibition, several devices were launched, triggering a lot of positive emotions of kids and adults.
The event also featured other exhibitors:
- Noplag – developer of a cross functional anti-plagiarism program;
- Ergo Place – developer of ergonomic products for work;
- UGV Ukraine – manufacturer of UAVs with remote control;
- IoT Hub – accelerator focused on hardware projects;
- “Ospishes Ukraine” – developer of a device that facilitates breathing;
- Hub 4.0 – educational project promoting Ukrainian developers and startups.
Hub 4.0 presented advanced technological achievements: Braille Teach, a toy for quick learning of Braille alphabet, Cardiomo, a small device for health monitoring, AR/VR Raccoon.world, a device for gaming and interaction with objects.
During the first day, speakers were talking about business, medicine and education. Many of them presented their best practices and prospects of the industries in the development of education and medicine of the future.
The key speakers of the first day were Pavlo Sheremeta, founder of PRORYV strategies workshop and Jаanika Merilo, Deputy Mayor of Dnipro.
During the second day, experts have covered the topic of investing and promoting startups. Speakers paid special attention to the issue of searching for a unique market and project investing.
The key speakers were Nataliia Berezovskaya, co-founder of UAngel, and Mikhail Utkin, CEO at eFarmer.
During the discussion panel “Why do talented technical specialists leave Ukraine. How to encourage and keep the best ones”, experts have discussed the problem of mass relocation of Ukrainian programmers abroad.
Battle of startup projects
The first day of the forum included a battle of startups. Young developers competed for the title of the best startup. All participants presented their projects and answered the questions of jury.
The first place was given to Medics startup. The prize is a three-month marketing support from Quadrate 28.
HUB 4.0 representatives presented certificates for Open space working in the creative space for such startups as ISEE, Braille Teach and Raccoon.world.
The project “Robotic assistant for people with visual disabilities” will be able to implement its prototype in the FabLab Fabricator laboratory.
“Bukvik” startup received a possibility to develop a design concept of website by Evgeniy Boltyan’s Studio.
Workshops for kids
The youngest attendees were able to enjoy workshops on 3D printing, robotics and drone piloting.
Children have learned to program robots, pilot drones and even found out about the process of manufacturing items using a 3D printer.
Hoverboards and Sci-Fi movie
On April 9, guests were able to participate in hoverboard heats and watch Sci-Fi movie.
During the hoverboard heats, we have determined the fastest driver of this type of transport. Visitors were also able to watch Sci-Fi movie from BEST SCI FI festival, telling about artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality.
