On April 18, we – Smile-Expo Company – held the first Prague iGaming Affiliate Conference dedicated to affiliate marketing in the gambling industry. The event involved gambling operators, regulators, marketing specialists, and lawyers from the Czech Republic and other countries.
What Did Speakers Discuss?
At the conference, experts talked about core aspects of modern gambling marketing, interaction among industry players, and related legal matters.
The event was opened by Viorel Stan, CEO of B2C Division at EveryMatrix Ltd.
Trade Association for Affiliates
A gambling consultant Steve Donoughue revealed why gambling affiliates needed a trade association.
According to the speaker, partners are facing numerous challenges today, in particular the absence of clear rules of casino advertising and complaints regarding gambling resource promotion.
The expert believes that the establishment of affiliate association can help to eliminate the difficulties. This union will make advertising of virtual gambling venues a more professional industry. Besides, partners will lay down the rules for their operations to be used as a basis by regulators.
Young Generation in Gambling Sector
Christina Thakor-Rankin, a representative of 1710 Gaming Ltd, focused on the attraction of the i-Generation (young people born after 2000) to the gambling industry. She considers that thought leaders and subscribers play a key role for such users.
The speaker explained that the previous pattern of customer cooperation went out of date. Currently, one should catch people’s interest, encourage the purchase, and keep them engaged.
Interaction Between Affiliates and Providers
Jan Urbanec, CEO at Endorphina, shared with the audience information about the hidden cooperation between partners and online gambling platform providers. He claims that both parties benefit from this collaboration.
Affiliates require content, while online casino providers possess corresponding data and resources. At the same time, providers need to announce themselves, and partners have the necessary audience.
The speaker paid special attention to online streaming as a new type of affiliate marketing. Nowadays, streamers build casino confidence, allure new players, and show viewers that all users can win.
What Were Panel Discussions About?
The event featured three panel discussions where experts shared their opinions and answered guests’ questions.
The discussion on innovative gaming business with affiliate marketing involved Levon Nikoghosyan, CEO at PartnerMatrix, and Nicc Lewis, Founder of Expozive. They analyzed existing consumer trends and concluded that Gen Z affiliates should be attracted to the gambling industry.
As part of the gambling regulation discussion, experts highlighted European gaming laws. Jan Rehola (Lawyer at Petroš Sedláčková Legal), Ana-Maria Baciu (Partner at NNDKP), and Raffaela Zillner (Secretary General of the Austrian Association for Betting and Gambling) answered attendees’ questions.
The third panel discussion was about the application of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in gambling. Nicc Lewis and Jan Rehola stressed that casinos integrated the distributed ledger because it provided gamblers with anonymity and security.
