Results of our blockchain conference in Australia
On May 29, Smile-Expo for the first time organized a conference from Blockchain World Events series based in Australia. It brought together renowned international blockchain experts, including representatives of Microsoft and Australian Government.
About the conference
14 specialists from Australia, the U. S., the UK, China, Singapore, Poland and Hong Kong took the floor. They discussed advantages of blockchain in business, cryptocurrency regulation across the globe as well as shared successful case studies of cross-border payment blockchainization.
Benjamin Hall, Senior Business Systems Analyst at Australian Government claimed that the global payment system would considerably change due to step-by-step blockchain introduction. However, first, a range of technical and legal problems should be sorted out.
Shri Chakraborty, Technical Solution Professional at Microsoft provided real-life case studies of decentralized technology implementation into business. To underpin the examples, the expert demonstrated blockchain-based solutions developed by Microsoft for world-known companies - Maersk, Webjet, Utilidex and Bank Hapoalim.
Founder at nChain Jimmy Nguyen dedicated his presentation to Bitcoin Cash blockchain that has beneficial differences from any other blockchains. As the speaker reported, his company tested a record-breaking 1 Gb block. It allowed to conduct 10 000 transactions per second (Visa carries out 2000).
Sam Lee, Australian blockchain expert and Founder at Blockchain Global, dwelled on a blockchain hub called Blockchain Centre. According to him, this is a not for profit organization set up to help Australian blockchain startups develop.
About the exhibition area
Keeping up with the traditions, Smile-Expo organized an exhibition area that appeared to be as popular as the conference. Agate company demonstrated how its blockchain-based app for payments works. Enosi and Global Grid+ showcased blockchain products for power segment. CoinTraffic network presented its services of project promotion via websites dedicated to blockchain. ExoLover unveiled software for making an acquaintance while HiDone demonstrated the work of its blockchain app for local search of employees.
Prospects
17 blockchain events held in 2018 is not the glass ceiling of Smile-Expo. New conferences and countries are coming! Until the end of 2018, we plan to conduct our events in Georgia (June 20), France (July 18), Sweden (September 11), Ukraine (September 19), Azerbaijan (September 27), Switzerland (October 9), Kazakhstan (October 17) and other countries.
