On November 21, the Connected Car Summit 2017 gathered key representatives of Russian connected cars market. Achievements and plans were shared by officials, car manufacturers, telecom service providers, bank representatives and online services.

National achievements and milestones
Alexander Morozov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, spoke about the current state of Russian automobile industry and the directions that the state intends to favor. He reported a 10% market growth in 2017 and noted that safe connected electric cars are the future of the industry.
The first report and the round table that took place within the summit framework were devoted to the key state project of domestic connected cars sphere – the NTI Autonet road map. Alexander Gurko, head of NP GLONASS and co-manager of the working group implementing this project, covered this topic.
At Autonet 2.0 roundtable, he was also joined by such leading members of NP GLONASS as deputy on legal issues, Ekaterina Kochergina, and head of research department, Tatyana Ledovskaya.
Implementation of the state project on navigation technologies application for ensuring transport security at the summit was discussed by the Head of JSC GLONASS, Sergey Oksenyuk, and a management member at the Russian Automobile Fellowship (RAT), Dmitry Blekher.
Achievements in creating and introducing software and hardware solutions for connected cars industry in Russia were shared by business representatives:
Alexey Trachuk - director of the Center for Strategic Innovations at Rostelecom, with a report on the infrastructure needed for connected cars;
Roman Fershter - head of Mobileye Representative Office in Russia. Presentation topic: "ADAS, REM and autonomous driving - today, tomorrow and in the future";
Ivan Zapolskiy - one of the founders of Rightech cloud IoT platform. He spoke about Internet of Things advantages as the basis of connected transport;
Sergey Irevli - MTS executive with his report "Mobility operators: a unified service system";
Andrey Vasilevsky - head of Yandex Automotive Lab, who talked about the issue of modern services and interfaces for the connected car system;
Igor Besschastny - head of the Center for Technological Innovations at Sberbank, who presented his report "Internet of Things: banking sphere";
Vakhtang Partvaniya - a Scania-Rus executive. Speaker talked about the freight transport of the future;
Leonid Denisov - American IoT-platform Cisco Jasper representative, with a report "Protecting CCAR from Internet threats".
Connected Car Summit 2017 also had an exhibition area, which presented latest developments in the field of connected cars. Within its framework, the Startup Battle was held, with independent Russian projects participating.
The winner of this year’s Battle was the LighTech start-up and its "Ion-oiling composition RS". RS is an effective luboil designed to protect against wear and tear of machinery and equipment.
Representatives of investment funds Buran VC, GenerationS, Skolkovo, Starta Ventures, communities Business Angels of the Russian Federation, Business Angels of Russia, etc. were the judges of the competition.
Connected Car Summit 2017 is successfully completed. But Smile-Expo company will continue to support technological development. The nearest event for innovation fans - Artificial Intelligence Conference - will be held in Moscow, on April 19, 2018.
