On October 31-November 1, at Sokolniki ECC, our company held already the fourth event dedicated to the cutting-edge technologies – an international forum Internet of Things.
The exhibition included a large-scale conference where representatives of the Foundation for Internet development initiatives (FRIA), CROC, Renova group, Internet of things association and other enterprises took part. They discussed the influence of digitalization on business and IoT market as well as learned the case studies of KFC, McDonald’s, and Lukoil.
Besides, several round table discussions were also conducted within the conference. Our company also organized the large-scale Startup Battle where the experts and investors assessed innovative developments of the participants. Wait a little bit, first things first.
The conference: key ideas
The conference was divided into two thematic sectors. The first one was dedicated to the creation of IoT platforms, industrial Internet, smart production, and artificial intelligence while the second – to the study cases in industrial automatization, investment market, and digitalization.
An SAP specialist Andrey Troickiy provided a masterclass of applying SAP Leonardo in business. Meanwhile, an expert at Kaspersky Lab Vladimir Dashchenko presented the possibilities of a new safety project ICS-CERT.
We also invited Matt McMullen, a developer of sex robots RealDoll. He presented the operating mode of his creation - Harmony AI.
Within the conference, three round table discussions were held: by Internet of things association, Zyfra, and STRIJ. The members of the discussion decided that IoT would make the people’s life better. CTO at Zyfra Yuriy Krylov comments:
‘Solutions provided by the Internet of Things are not abstract. They exist in various spheres such as transport and energetics. I encourage you not to be afraid because these solutions have been successfully applied. Just integrate them.’
The Startup battle – a presentation of IoT innovations
Many attendees were anxiously waiting for the Startup Battle where 15 projects presented their developments. As a result, the following places were decided:
1st place – Belka – a smart device connecting household appliances in one network.
2nd place – MoveReHub – a medical VR project to rehabilitate patients who suffered a stroke.
3rd place – Allyst – a platform for building IoT networks and control centers.
Many investors and partners got interested in innovative projects of the winners at the Startup Battle. They were glad to share their impressions and results with us.
